About this session

The bread and butter of safe and sustained operations at sea is the crew's ability to respond to emergencies. Due to its enclosed atmosphere and neutral buoyancy, problems that would be considered "minor" in a building or in a home can be immediately threatening to a submerged submarine.

Submarines spend considerable time developing the knowledge, skills, and organizational structure to effectively respond to various emergencies or "casualties" as we call them.

As the leader, with ultimate accountability for the safety and performance of your "crew," what can you learn from how I trained my crew? Many of my ideas worked, but there is always room for improvement! I will share the wins and losses of my training program, many of which will benefit your own teams.
